Cell phones are dangerous

Yes, but blame the manufacturers of the faulty replacement batteries,

no you can't know who the manufacturer is :D

Imagine if she had been driving at the time. Like in a tunnel of which Holland has several. And of course, she dropped it in the car and got out , obstructing a tunnel with forced air fans and a car on fire.

No. Let's not imagine.

Or, let's imagine she drops it while she is picking tulips. A blazing tulip falls over, igniting her wooden shoes! She flings the shoes away, into a nearby windmill, which bursts into flames! The resulting damage to the nearby dykes causes the entire country to be flooded!

Damned cell phones.

Ouch, can you say blast furnace?

Isn't this a possibility with any electical device though? Maybe I'll have to be more thoughtful about what I hold next to my face.

When I was little, my next door neighbour's washing machine caught fire.

Now I know it should be obvious that this is a risk, if a very slim one; but you don't really subliminally associate that risk with a washing machine! It's full of water!

So I'm always very careful about not leaving the washing machine running when I go out...

(this in answer to the question, "isn't this a possibility with any electircal device?")

How bad/good is the radiation from cell phones?
From WebMD - No, Cell Phones Do Not Cause Cancer
In this study, Muscat and his colleagues examined cell phone usage among 469 men and women diagnosed with brain cancer and 422 people without brain cancer. All participants were interviewed between 1994 and 1998 and were questioned about whether they used cell phones at all, the type of phone used, amount of usage per month, year of first use, and total years of cell phone usage.

The researchers found no difference in usage patterns between the brain cancer patients and those without brain cancer.

What if she worked in a fireworks factory situated next door to a Liquid Natural Gas facility, and across the street from an overcrowded elementary school?!

Yes, let's imagine!
