Is it because the importance of this election is overstated by all parties and the media?

The country will still be here in 4 years. I would guess that it won't be a bad 4 years that will finally bring down america, but the gradual reductions in freedoms and government limitations on business that will eventually knock America off its perch.

When so much importance is put on an election, party heads don't need to scheme and plan behind the scenes, people far down the chain, who are worked up by the talk of the importance of the election, take matters into their own hands.

Don't forget corruption. Probably a good study of the fall of the Roman empire would point us to some likely future causes....

True. People who think their ends justify the means. It happens on both (all) sides.

Am I being illogical here in saying that voter fraud doesn't worry me one bit?

So what if a bunch of registrations are phony. First off, the reason tehre are a bunch of phony registrations are because people were paid to register people. Some faked it to get paid more. Big deal! Doesn't mean anyone will vote on thos fake registrations. First off, someone would have to know they are fake to vote on them. Further, think about the time it takes to vote. You can't immediately turn around and vote again at the same precinct as that would look mighty suspicious. So you spend time travelling from palce to place to vote. How long would that take? Really, one very dedicated individual might be able to vote 10 times but that would kill their whole day. Do you really think there are many people that would do that? I just find that pertty farfetched.

Of greater concern to me is the disenfranchisement of voters. Improper use of felon rolls, voter obstruction, tearing up voter registrations unbeknowst to the registrant. All of these can be done by individuals and effect hundreds if not thousands of voters. Much higher probability of effecting the election.
