So, if you can't make it to Dragon*Con for Skeptrack. The next best thing would be to watch the live video stream from the main Skeptic Track room.

All the Skeptic Room events will be streamed live from the con, I don't think we can swing the events that are not in the Hilton track room itself, but we will try.

Even if we can't get the stuff that isn't in the track room, you will still get about 90% of the panels and talks this way.

Point your modern browser this direction to watch the events unfold:

GeekGoddess is speaking twice. But I think she is wearing clothing.

yeah when does geek speak and when does the webcam go live?

Not to bring this down, but both the livestream and stickam feeds are highly unreliable. The livestream feed has a great chat interface, but is very laggy for me both at home and at work and I have plenty of bandwidth. Stickam seems to stream better but the site acts weird at times and the video is distorted (like squishing a 16:9 image into 4:3). Both sites seem to cut out quite often too, either dropping the stream, or forcing me to reload and not getting the stream back.

The Ustream site for TAM7 was fantastic, any chance of giving that a go? I know switching to yet a third streaming site might be confusing, but I think stability is more important.

What I was able to hear of Joe Nickell's talk was great (it's best not to think of it as live video; more of 'live audio, with a slide show attached').

However, it's 10:48 AM EST Monday right now, and there's no broadcast, even though there's a panel scheduled. The chat room isn't up either.

Ah well; I didn't attend, so can't complain much. I enjoyed the Japanese Festival here in St. L instead.

The Livestream feed has it On Demand, and you can see the whole thing (Nickell's talk.)

The on-demand thing only has one talk currently and it's not the one where the true believer got into it with him. Derek said he'd get all the talks on the skeptrack site so I look forward to that.

The last two days were MUCH better on stickam. I still think UStream was a better service, but Sunday and Monday were very watchable.

I went to Stickam yesterday, and there was nothing there on the page. Anything I clicked on, just asked me to put in a username and password for 'chatting'

Give us a couple days and I will have many of the talks put up for folks to download. :)

Just as a heads-up for next time -- the coordinator might want to turn the mic off between presentations, especially if those within range aren't aware that it is on.
