Why can't Allison DuBois make straight forward predictions about this:

'Medium' Order Cut To 13; Is This The End?

Medium cheated death once in 2009 when CBS rescued it after its cancellation by NBC. But the ghost crime drama might now be coming to an end after a respectable 7-season run on two networks. CBS today cut the order to the series starring Patricia Arquette to 13 episodes.
...
In a similar fashion, CBS last year cut the order to Friday drama Numbers before canceling it in May. The CBS TV Studios-produced Medium, which has made a lot of money for CBS through its syndication deal with Lifetime, has been the lowest-rated series on CBS this fall following its move from 9 PM to 8 PM on Friday (though it inched up in the ratings last week).

How come Allison DuBois hasn't foretold this event?

They always say they don't get advice for themselves when anything major happens.
Some gals I knew took to visiting a psychic a few times, her husband used to pick them up and take them home, and make passes at the last one to leave. His wife didnt pick up on that one, she was very shocked when he eventually ran off with another woman! Where do the rules that their own gran cant come through with a warning come from? How convenient!

Exactly. Convenience.

They come from the same dark place that Sylvia Browne pulled "I can't read for people I'm emotionally close to" from. And "I can't read for people who are psychic," and "I can't read for dark entities because they don't have charts." And "I can't read for me because it isn't meant for me," and "I can't tell time frames." You know, as needed, depending on the situation, who's complaining, etc.

But.......That show is based on real life? How can she not see the future in real life like she can on the TV show?
There must be some kind of mistake. They can't lie on TV! It's like a law or something.

The next thing I know there will be a thread about how that isn't even the real Allison on the show but some kind of actor instead.
I hope that isn't true because I just don't know what I would do then.

Guess they shouldn't have moved the show from its original time slot...

I think it would be awesome if the series finale has her taking on and winning the million dollar challenge by simply making a series of predictions that all come true.

Cancelled

It's been confirmed:

'Medium' scoop: 'We got canceled,' says star

Though CBS cut the episodic order on Medium from 22 to 13 last month, the network has not said whether the drama has officially been canned. But star Patricia Arquette is saying as much: The actress told EW that “we got canceled” and the show only has two more episodes to shoot.

No public statement/prediction from Allison DuBois.

I watched one episode and the only thing I remember is that one of her kids tried to get out of going to school by faking illness. She knew they weren't sick and the kid said something like "it's not fair she can read minds" or something like that. What annoyed me was not that she could read minds (it's TV, we suspend belief as part of the fun) but that her family seemed to rediscover her abilities several times. The kids know she's psychic, they grew up with her being psychic, why would they even try to lie to her?
