I hear this alot when talking to Bush supporters. Like Bush is Mr. Integrity-Stick to His Guns- Does what Needs to be Done-Guy.

When I think Stand up guy I think of Tony Blair. He faces his nation, defends his decisons, and takes responsibilty.

Bush seems to hide from the public and press, tosses out excuses, takes responsibilty for nothing. Hes not alone though. In US politics rarely does anyone say "my bad". I guess they dont want to give their foes any ammuntion.

We tell our youth that its noble to fess up when you make mistakes. In reality our leaders do anything but. Intsead its spun as a sign of weakness.

Despite what you may have heard Blair is a lying weasel who would stab his grandmother in the back if it meant he got to keep his job as leader.

There have been a few people who have lost their jobs over Iraq and that, a BBC journalist, the Director General of the BBC, the BBC chairman and the editor of the Daily Mirror.

Nobody from the government or security services has been sacked.

At least George Tenet got the boot. The bloke who headed up the report committee which gave the basis for war is getting promoted to the head of MI6!

Yeah! And the British legal system still involves the wearing of powdered wigs and waistcoats! I mean, come on!
