I hear this alot when talking to Bush supporters. Like Bush is Mr. Integrity-Stick to His Guns- Does what Needs to be Done-Guy.
When I think Stand up guy I think of Tony Blair. He faces his nation, defends his decisons, and takes responsibilty.
Bush seems to hide from the public and press, tosses out excuses, takes responsibilty for nothing. Hes not alone though. In US politics rarely does anyone say "my bad". I guess they dont want to give their foes any ammuntion.
We tell our youth that its noble to fess up when you make mistakes. In reality our leaders do anything but. Intsead its spun as a sign of weakness.
