BREAKING NEWS!!!! CASTRO FALLS!!!

see, this is the proper way to do "nation building".

He falls, injures his leg, gets an infection in the hospital, dies, his brother takes over, his brother is a complete screw up, the people rebel, democracy takes over. The End!

thanks to John Kerry for placing the banana peel by the podium.

What a ridiculous scenario. In the Socialist Worker's Paradise that is Cuba, El Jefe can count on getting the finest medical care in the world.

Now, if he'd slipped and broken his neck, we'd be getting somewhere...
his brother takes over, his brother is a complete screw up,
What, are you saying Fidel hasn't been?

Fidel's a dirtbag but has excellent leadership skills (not saying I like communism or fascism, I detest it actually) and a powerful speaker. Wouldnt call him a screwup though. Though he's certainly screwed many of his people.

There's a nickname for Fidel's brother in Cuba that roughly translates to "the stupid one". (wish I could remember it, read it in a copy of Hispanic Business a couple of years ago that examined the question what happens when Fidel dies...if he ever does)

As president-for-life of his people, he forces a bankrupt political and economic system on them, and kills or imprisons anyone who has the nerve to protest.

If that isn't a screwup, then the word has no meaning.

Talking about Castro's stupider brother is like talking about Michael Moore's fatter brother.

That is the communist goal though, and he executed it perfectly.

If Fidel Castro's brother wouldnt assume the presidency I would agree with you. (but he most likely will)

Wait, this was in Santa Clara? So did the fall prevent him from visiting Great America? I know that he was so looking forward to finally getting to take a spin on the Top Gun coaster. I just hope this little spill didn't disrupt that dream of his.

....what's that you say? This wasn't in Santa Clara, California? Nevermind then...

Nope, it was in Cuber. I remember a Simpsons episode where it shows a Castro aide telling him how much America likes him "They even named a street after you in San Francisco"

Charlie (a street with lots of friendly men) Monoxide

"What Would Che Say?"

Maybe:

"I can't believe that certain silly liberals find me to be some sort of iconic representation of noble opposition when I was basically a thug"

Funny thing is, even though it was humorously suggested to be named after Fidel on The Simpsons, it wouldn't surprise me if that had actually been true. Except I think we'd be more likely to see a Che Boulevard if we're naming streets after communists of the Western Hemisphere.

Good ol' San Francisco...City of Brotherly Love. Wait, no, that's Philly.
