Boston Area Skeptics Meeting

Just wanted to start a thread quickly to announce that a bunch of us met up in the Boston Area yesterday. The attendees were: Paul A-I'm-sorry-I-can't-spell-your-name, Scott, Rebecca and her Boyfriend, Larry, Mommy and Daddy (aka Kitty and Pool Boy) and myself.

We had lunch at Bertucci's and a great time that included plenty of good conversation, much of it relevant to skeptical matters.

As soon as my parents download the pictures from their camera I'll post them here.

Any of the other attendees want to comment or post some pics?

P.S. We should have another one of these meetings-- maybe at our house if our tile people ever show up to finish the floor, so we can move all the furniture out of our living room!

Oooh, what a great idea! If I promise to be well-behaved, could I be permitted to come upstairs from the basement, to put to rest those vicious and completely unfounded rumors that I am being held involuntarily?
Maybe in September, or early October? (Hmmm. Labor Day weekend is in early September...)
 
How is it that an unpublicised get together in Boston goes off smoother than a get together in LA that has three announcement posts?

What is the secret- I tell you, the herding cats thing never made more sense to me....


I'm jealous.

BTW, I expect I'll be out that way in early September.

Or, if you're in the area, I bet mom might cook you dinner (as long as you don't mind a messy house-- we have too much stuff) or we can grab dinner at EBAs up here at school... I'm sure you miss greasy college pizza.

Most of my shorts are voluminous. This is to prevent them from turning into the shorts equivalent of a straightjacket when I sit or lean over.

Actually, they are fairly stylish now, aren't they? I knew that eventually I'd come into style. Too bad they'll be out in a year or two.

And for the record, Pool Boy is looking way too fit and healthy. I hope I'll look half as good at that age ...

Scott, you look great. I almost didn't recognise you since TAM2. You look so lean ;)

And Paul, well, I recognised you from miles away (and with those pants, who wouldn't :D)

that's right, stand up straight! Tall girls tend to slouch..I think it starts when they suddenly grow a foot higher than all the guys in one year. The guy eventually catch up!

I must admit my attention was focussed more on the skepchicks and less on Pool Boy during TAM2, so I don't quite remember what he looked like :D

She's not THAT tall, is she? Scott is like half a foot taller (although less if kitten would stand up straight :p)
 
Hey! I am slouching because behind my back I am holding a Wal-mart bag full of goggles... decided that wouldn't look so good in the picture. As for height, I'm 5'8" or so-- no giant, but certainly not on the short side.

And what? No comment on the extradordinary beauty of Mommy, Rebecca, and myself???? Only comments on "slouching"???

*Sits up straight, attempts to look taller and more intimidating*
