Quote from The Gulf Daily News, Saturday, 17th May 2008 in reference to Osama Bin Laden's latest audio tape:
"The Al Qaeda leader, who has placed growing emphasis on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, said it was at the heart of the Muslim battle with the West and an inspiration to the 19 bombers who carried out the attacks on US cities on September 11, 2001.
"We will continue, God permitting, the fight against the Israelis and their allies ... and will not give up a single inch of Palestine as long as there is one true Muslim on Earth" [Bin Laden was quoted as saying]."
OK, so this is the kind of attitude that can prevail if justified under God's authority. Hail religion, in all its godly forms!
I can't help feeling it a little ironic, though, that the USA is such a religious nation when surely it can see what can be justified by some in the name of it. Or are Americans generally simply the better followers?!
