I missed this entirely, but Bill Clinton went on Rush Limbaugh's show the day of the Texas primary. Limbaugh has been urging voters to cross over to keep Hillary Clinton in the race, and Bill saw an opening and went there.

Astounding. Just when I thought the Clintons couldn't be any more cynical... they join forces with this right wing hack to damage the front runner of their own party! Why hasn't Obama jumped all over this?

While I agree with you that jumping on board Limbaugh's radio show is pretty stupid, isn't the Clinton goal to damage the front runner of their party? Just like Obama's goal is to damage the Clintons. It is a contest, isn't it? Or was Obama supposed to be annointed and the Clintons fade into the background?

It is astounding. Was Rush actually hosting that day? I don't think so but I don't recall tuning in that day so I don't know.

I do know that (rather, strongly believe) that Rush would dearly love Hillary to not only get the nod, but to win the election. It is certainly not in his personal 'radio career' interest for McCain to win and even though polls say that McCain could/would win against Hillary, I think he doubts that...so do I. Rush's two worst nightmares for his personal career are, in my humble opinion and in order of importance, 1) obama winning, 2) McCain winning.

For him, there is no downside to Hillary winning. She is the quintessential fodder for his cannon.

Can't understand what anyone sees in that hack drug addicted rectum talker. But, hey, if the fundies like him..................

Obviously just the opposite, with the Clinton team clutching at straws. Both Rush and the Clinton team want Hillary to win -- and in that they have a common interest -- but their reasons differ ...erm... slightly.

wow. They're all 'rectum' talkers -- nature of the game. I haven't heard he's a drug addict but I'm willing to listen to gossip.

If the Clintons' only way to keep in the race is to ally themselves with Rush Limbaugh, then they're done. It would be sorry if they have no better means at their disposal than to buy into Limbaugh's scheme to keep the Democrats as divided as possible for as long as possible. If that's the best they have, then yes, they should throw in the towel.

erm...if you listened to rush you'd know division is not his objective. He really does want them united for hillary.

It ain't gossip.

The man who said this, “Drug use, some might say, is destroying this country. And we have laws against selling drugs, pushing drugs, using drugs, importing drugs. ... And so if people are violating the law by doing drugs, they ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up.” was caught doctor shoppingrush limbaughWP.

On April 28, 2006, Limbaugh and his attorney, Roy Black, went to the Palm Beach County Jail to surrender after a warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of doctor shopping.[86] According to Teri Barbera, spokeswoman for the Sheriff, during his arrest, Limbaugh was booked, photographed, and fingerprinted, but not handcuffed. He was then was released after about an hour on $3,000 bail.[87] [88] [89] After his surrender, he filed a "not guilty" plea to the charge. Prosecutors agreed to drop the charge if Limbaugh paid $30,000 to defray the cost of the investigation and completed an 18-month therapy regimen with his physician.

yes, but when he/she wins a race, it is usually because he/she is the better athlete, the faster runner, not because he/she is the one who tripped up the other guy in the race.

Billary is a dirty politician, to the core, plane and simple.

You missed that four or so month long thing about him getting illegally multiple prescriptions etc. About 4 years ago ??? After attacking addicts on the air multiple times (along with others, of course). Found one fast here:

If you read the post, you'll see it was a guest host subbing for Rush that day. It was his show, and Bill was probably pretty foolish to do it, but you know how it is. Rush and Hillary find themselves in the oddball situation that they both want the Democratic race to continue.

There was no evidence that Rush doctorshopped or violated any drug laws.

It seems skepticism flies out the window when a conservative is being judged.

attorneys for Limbaugh announced that their client reached an agreement with the office of Palm Beach County State Attorney Barry Krischer that will spare him jail time, as long as he completes 18 months of drug treatment. He surrendered Friday at the Palm Beach County jail on a warrant formally charging that he withheld information from a medical practitioner. That charge is known as doctor shopping and is a third-degree felony.

Limbaugh -- a multimillionaire who lives part of the year in a waterfront mansion in Palm Beach -- also agreed to pay the county $30,000 to cover the cost of its investigation and $30 a month in supervision costs. If Limbaugh complies, the one count of doctor shopping will be wiped off his record in 18 months.

(...)

Shortly after the article appeared, Limbaugh admitted he had a drug problem and entered a five-week drug treatment program in Arizona. He claimed that he started using the powerful painkillers because of a severe chronic back problem.
