I'm sure what they meant to claim was, "Here is an unidentified creature remenant that probably has a mundane explanation which we will ignore completely before arbitrarily labelling the remains to something we find more convenient."

Weird story for many reasons... Lakeville is about 40 minutes from Quincy.

Yes, and so few people have walked the woods in that area in the last four hundred years that it's easy to see how several generations (and families of) oversized hominids would have escaped notice.

But this is the Sun!!!! News (ish) owned by Rupert Murdoch. Since when did the truth ever get in the way of a good headline?

Yeah Fox News we're looking at you.

I found the article and photo on FB.My response was a Bear foot ,but where was the rest of the carcass /corpse ? I'm not a believer in BF,as I know this is a hoax ,started by P&G back in the days.!:(

None of the articles on this (there are several who've picked up the story) mention the size. How big must it be for them to leap to "bigfoot" as opposed to, say, "missing hiker from ten years ago"?

I can't say I know a damn thing about bears, and I'm pretty sure that their paws are probably larger (in scale) than human hands and feet, but wouldn't the woods around that area have nothing but wee black bears? I don't think there have been grizzlies or kodiaks or polar bears in that are in several hundred millenia so just how big is this that one of the first conclusions was "gotta be one o' them bigfeets"?

It was My Pal Foot Foot.

That was The Shaggs. They're better than The Beatles, according to Frank Zappa, who I otherwise respected

As the first to go on record as saying the evidence pointed closer to Italian cuisine than biological structure, I retract my claim in the first response. That is a bear claw, clearly, and boy do I love donuts.

Also, no Bigfoot.
