I just got a slide show from a usually more sensible friend about how the central verse of the bible is something about putting your faith in God rather than man, so pray ...

I don't need any arguments for or against this - I need to know what to do with my desire to send said friend a withering email for passing along this tripe.

The shortest chapter of the Bible is Psalm 117. The longest is Psalm 119. The chapter in the middle of the bible is Psalm 118. There are 594 chapters before and after Psalm 118. Add up 594 twice and get 1188. Go to Psalm 118.8 and you will see that god's central message is to Put Your Faith In God and Trust Not In Man. So pray, cause god loves it.

I compromised. I sent the Snopes listing to everyone on the original mailing list. (Pause for evil laugh).
