Berlusconi's latest scandals

I don't think the word "scandal" really applies to Berlusconi. It implies a certain standard of integrity.

Never ceases to amaze me about how he gets away with what he gets away with. Is the Italian public just immune to these things now?

I would say people are tired after an outrage every month or so. He has 22% approval rating.

His opposition however, is faring even worse with 87% disapproval rating. I don't know why that is though. Any italians here who can explain?

Berlusconi may no pretence of being anything other than a rascal and scoundrel so I'm not even sure he is primarily to blame for all this.

The Italian people knew exactly what they were electing when they put him back in for the second time. All who voted for him should sit in the naughty corner until they are properly sorry.

I suppose there are worse things than sexual pecadillos in a leader. I would put up with that before I would put up with public policy which I oppose.

I guess that is the European way.

I am not European but I feel the same way.

Well he has a lot of nonsexual scandals as well. I thought he ran for president to avoid prosecution.
