Billboard ban: No Moore exposure

A RAUNCHY billboard promoting the launch of Australia's first porn-friendly political party has been pulled down because authorities fear it is so steamy it could cause a car crash.
The billboard for the Porn Star Party - featuring leader and Queensland adult movie starlet Jodie Moore in a provocative nude pose - outraged locals when it first appeared by the Gold Coast Highway earlier this week.
Queensland's Tourism Minister Margaret Keech said the advertisement posed a traffic hazard, and that mothers from the local town of Beenleigh had complained about their children being exposed to it when driving by in the car.
"Beenleigh is a family area and it's not the sort of thing you want to see when you're driving down the motorway," Ms Keech said.
Beenleigh mother-of-three Linda Mina, who is standing against Cr Hackwood in next month's local government elections, said the town already suffered an image problem "and we don't need this sort of thing".
Porn Star Party spokesman Dean Weiley said the billboard would come down at dawn today for "adjustments".
As well as supporting availability of adult material in general retail stores, Ms Moore's policies include outlawing smoking for under-18s, mandatory military service for unemployed school-leavers, a Brisbane "mega-sign" similar to Hollywood's, and giving the RSPCA the power to arrest people who are cruel to animals.
The party also argues that all prisoners should learn a trade. "No more sitting on their ass (sic) playing cards, wasting time watching TV and videos," party literature says.
The billboard is part of a $26,000 campaign to raise awareness of the party.
Mr Weiley said the party already had more than 700 members and Ms Moore planned to seek a Senate seat in this year's federal election.
