Change, or more of the same?
If anybody believes that John McCain will not continue the Bush policy of lying, warmongering and making the rich richer, then they certainly have missed the oddest accusation that McCain has leveled against Obama: that Obama should be condemned for wanting to “spread the wealth around.” In keeping with this theme, McCain and Palin have even tried to resurrect the spirit of the “socialist” bogeyman to attack Obama’s economic policies.

...

Today's Pravda is a mere shadow of its former self. Because now they have to rely on a free market for their readership, just like The New York Times.

Or at least a sort of free-ish market.

Analysis: Pravda figures Barack will win and want to get on his good side.

You pretty much have to go to an American college campus to find someone who thinks Barack is just as much of a Yankee imperialist warmonger as McCain. And even there it isn't so easy.

Now now, it's just a columnist in the opinion-corner. But still funny
concerning the "Obama Leftwing Communist" crowd who probably
will crap in their pants if they read that.

Oh, Pravda nowadays is not significant, they print all sorts of woo, psychics, dowsers, alien abductions, it's like being endorsed by the Weekly World News.

Of course they always printed woo, but it used to be just Marxist woo. Oh, and psychics who could see while blindfolded ... actually, nothing's changed, has it?

Nice of them to endorse Obama, but if they form anyone's opinions, they shouldn't.

Is this confirmation of media bias, Tricky?

(Yes, I realize it's the editorial board . . . )
If so, it would be confirmation that the media has been biased against Democrats for more than fourty years (leastwise, they were where I come from.)

It is remarkable that even right-of-center news outlets are endorsing Obama, don't you think?
Yeah, I saw your smiley. ;-)

I don't think so. They look at the train wreck that the GOP has inflicted upon itself in the past year, or more if you like, and cannot in good conscience support such blundering boob. Their only other choice is Obama: they too are betting the come on Hope, since that is all he offers, at the moment.

Assume he wins. Will he grow into the job? You and I had better hope so. It takes more than talk to do that job.

One thing about Pravda these days -- unlike the old days -- lots of coverage of UFO conspiracies. Very interesting that the Soviet authorities suppressed that. :)
