I thought people might be interested to know that this year's winner of the Australian Skeptics' Bent Spoon award was the Australian ABC TV program "Second Opinion" for its uncritical promotion of unproven alternate medicine.

I just can't stand to watch more than 2 to 3 minutes of this infuriating and uncritical drivel.
If I watch any more than that, I will need a second opinion - about my blood pressure medication!

I have contemplated complaining to "our" ABC, but always thought that it would be tilting at very large windmills, so haven't.
I just switch over.
I just get a more than a little riled that a part of my taxes are paying for the promotion of dangerous nonsense, at prime-time.
