Astrology saves Cambodia

Ok, so some girl saved people in Thailand with some basic knowledge of the mechanics of tsunamis.

However it seems that astrology and superstition is far more effective, since the entire country of Cambodia was spared any damage by these techniques.

A minor factor in Cambodia's good fortune may be that Cambodia does not have any coastline in the Indian Ocean.

No, no, no... read the blog comments and you'll see that the country wasn't moved, the astrologer moved the tsunami from the South China Sea to the Indian Ocean!

Does someone better versed in plate tectonics know if a similar tsunami could even occur in the South China Sea? I don't know which way the plates in that area are moving...
