I'll be giving a public lecture titled "What's Your Sign? Astrology vs. Astronomy" at the Leitner Observatory on the Yale Campus (355 Prospect St., New Haven, CT) on Thursday, Sept. 6, at 8pm. The lecture is free and open to all ages. This lecture will cover some of the cultural history of astrology and its connection to astronomy, and I will explain why astrology is a pseudoscience. I'm posting flyers around town, and I'm hoping to get some "true believes" in addition to the regular sciency-types that usually come to these public lectures.
Weather permitting, there will be public viewing through the telescopes of interesting stars and planets.
