Nope. Even ignoring his politics, which I obviously opposed, he has been a crappy AG.

If anything, the firestorm of controversy over his political opinions has obscurred that fact.

A better conspiracy theory would be that he is being lined up to take Rehnquist's seat on the Supreme Court...

Actually, on another list, somebody brought up the idea that Bush is prepping him for Renquist's seat.

I'm with you Cleon. Ashcroft scares the crap out of me. And the fact that he looks exactly like the X-Files' Cigarette Smoking Man doesn't help either.

This guy needs to bow out never to return anywhere. He is a picture of the ultimate right wing extremist.

I really can't see him doing anything productive because of his extremist views. I don't even think he could do the nutty ultra right wing types of rado shows.

I hope this guy is gone, never to return.
 
They don't need him any more, now they can just pack the court.
