I will always remember Art Buchwald's column about the Barbie doll phenomenon. It is one of the best compositions ever, funny as can be, and it was spot-on. Art sure had his moments.

He lectured at my college while I was in attendance. I still remember his telling a story about listening to a recording of "Ave Maria" and having a neighbor storm over to his house and tell him to "turn that G*dd**n Jew music off." Don't remember the rest of the story - that line got too big a laugh. Nice to know that the good don't always die young - sometimes we get to have them with us for a long time.
