I always find it humorous that every organization and newpaper in the country feels the need to broadcast who they think you shoudl vote for. How egotistical! I'm offened that they feel the need to tell ME who to vote for.

Is anyone ever swayed by what the papers, union, nra, ect.... endorces??

Actually it depends on who is doing the endorsing.

I actually look at who is endorsing when it comes to propositions. I think it can be pretty telling as to what the 'real deal' is with a proposition. For example, California's prop 71 (stem cell research) has been endorsed by nobeloreates (sp.?) while opposed by religious groups.

I also look at the endorsements of our local politicians. It's pretty easy to see where a persons loyalties lie when they are endorsed by the board of realators & contractors board or save the whatever foundation.

As far as Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie.....I couldn't give a.......

I don't get newspapers endorsing candidates. Even though it's the editorial board, I think it hurts their credibility in these days of supposed unbiased reporting. In the past, papers were openly partisan, and their endorsement went without saying.

There are certain people whos endorsement would make me reconsider. For example, if Rush Limbaugh endorsed Kerry, I would have to reconsider my vote. If Bill Clinton endorsed Bush, I would want to learn more.
