I just caught the last bit of today's show whilst at home on my lunch break. It seems that she is talking about teaching religion in public schools.

Unfortunately I did not get to see too much, just some guy talking about how schools should teach all the "great" religions, but since I did not see the start of his interview I cannot say if he wanted it in a science class or in a theology class. Hopefully someone here can watch it and update us.

Yup that's him alright.
I agree that students need to learn about all of the planet's religions.
I have not yet read this guy's book, but I may if I can find it at our library.
I'm going to Google this guy and see if I can find out if he has ulterior motives behind his wanting to teach religions or not.

From the above USA Today link:

The Bible and Its Influence has been blasted by conservative Christians such as the Rev. John Hagee, pastor of the 18,000-member Cornerstone Church in San Antonio. Hagee calls it "a masterful work of deception, distortion and outright falsehoods" planting "concepts in the minds of children which are contrary to biblical teaching."

I think I would like this book.

It would be nice for children who see a painting of The Last Supper to understand it depicts the Jewish Passover seder. While the seder story contains myth, I think that if someone is at an art museum viewing such a painting he should understand who is dining and for what purpose.

I thought it depicted clues for The Da Vinci Code.
