I'd like to find a Javascript that removes the password from a PDF.

I know the password and do it all day, but I'm trying to automate it. The program I'm on has a scripting module that I would put this in and then send it on down the line....

Acrobat I would think....
(I should note that "The actual calls" may as well say "Yellow Desktop Rhino" for all I know about programming)

:)

I don't know if you will find a javascript PDF editor out there.

See if you can make a command line call or a web service call pass a protected pdf and you get it back unlocked.

If you can't do that and you really have a lot of time then look into a javascript PDF reader.

Maybe you can figure out how it is reading it and then write it out yourself.

A good place for that would be https://mozilla.github.io/pdf.js/
