NYC Skeptics is pleased to host Dr. Phil Plait at a special wine and hors d'oeuvres reception on Sunday April 19th at 7:00 PM.

Dr. Plait is president of the James Randi Educational Foundation and writes the "Bad Astronomy" blog for Discover.com. He has won numerous awards for his writing, including Best Science Blog of 2007.

Don't miss this opportunity to engage in one-on-one conversation with Dr. Plait and your fellow skeptics!

The following evening, Dr. Plait will be lecturing at the American Museum of Natural History on his latest book "Death from the Skies!"

Space is limited; RSVP required. $45 includes admission, wine, and refreshments. To RSVP, please e-mail contact@nycskeptics.org.

All proceeds will help fund the NYC Skeptics Public Lecture Series.

If you are unable to attend, you can still support NYC Skeptics by becoming a member!

Rest assured, there will be a variety of non-alcoholic beverages available.

Whoa! Spiffy!! Not sure, yet, if I will be attending. It depends on stuff.

But, I gotta ask: What other beverages will there be aside from wine, for us lousy teetotallers?

For those who would like to attend..I suggest RSVPing ASAP, as we have limited space and slots are filling up fast!

NYC Skeptics is not involved with Phil's AMNH lecture; they are two seperate events and require separate registration. Sorry for any confusion.

Huh. I used to just sit behind him at TAM and kick his seat when he wasn't up on stage. Now you have to pay to drink wine with him :D
Oh, this isn't a TAM thing. Maybe I will just sit behind him again instead then. Maybe he'll let me if I bring wine. Someone report back with what kind he liked the most...
