Amounts spent on psychics?

I am trying to find out how much money is spent on psychics. I'm not having too much luck on Google. I'm looking for something like an annual figure for the US.

I'm sure someone here could point me in the right direction if this information exists.

It would indeed interesting to find this out.

But I suppose most face-to-face fees are paid in cash, and become part of the black economy.

Indeed. One can, however, make an estimate by surveying a sample of the general population and ask how much they spend on psychics. I would also imagine that the resulting number will be far smaller than what gets reported to the IRS.

I am surprised that no one has cited a study yet.
