In the Sun newspaper today there's this article:

"There’s no God say 96% in web poll"

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/2695559/Theres-no-God-say-96-in-web-poll-sting.html

Interestingly on the website the headline reads "There’s no God say 96% in web poll 'sting' " whereas in the actual paper the word sting is omitted.

The funniest thing was the photo of god's reaction to the poll, I hope you can see it in my blurry iPhone picture, the caption is "God.. yesterday"

Hmm... if I truly believed that 96% of people did not believe a god exists, my hope for humanity would rise considerably. However, something tells me that these numbers are not an accurate representative sample. Too many delusional people still exist for this to be true.

I would suggest that view might be geographical? I would also question the percentage but in the UK I would say the vast majority state there is no God. You'd get a different answer from the USA.

Well to be fair it was linked to from a JREF thread initiated by Lothian, I took the poll as did a few others. I'm thinking that may have had an effect on the result. The general consensus was that it was a faked result as it was at 97% from the get go (so it's actually less now).

Looks like the marketing campaign is well underway. I just can't figure the strategy - anybody?

Probably just to bring the question back out into plain sight, tbh.
