Philosophy doesn't get much of a airing on this forum, but I thought I'd mark the sad passing of Australian Broadcasting Corporation presenter Alan Saunders, who died young and unexpectedly last week. I'm not into philosophy myself, feeing much more at home with the lowest common denominator factor of theology, but his radio shows, "The Philosophers' Zone" and "By Design", I found very stimulating and would often make a point of listening to. He was a brilliant presenter and interviewer, managing to find that magic of making complex ideas very understandable without dumbing them down too much. I understand he was hightly respected as such within the philosophy community. I met him once (and he was pretty unimpressed). And apparently he was a Buffy fan, as all great minds are.
