Now we have a variation on a theme started in this thread.

A twoofer posted this story (from Len Hart (who he?)) today at a forum I visit:

WikiScanner discovered that American Airlines changed their Wikipedia entry to
state that Flights 11 and 77 never flew on 9/11.
Original entry was:
Two American Airlines aircraft were hijacked and crashed during the September 11, 2001 Terrorist
Attack: American Airlines Flight 77 (a Boeing 757) and American Airlines Flight 11 (a Boeing 767).

New entry is as follows and it includes the bolded text below:
Two American Airlines aircraft were hijacked and crashed during the September 11, 2001 Terrorist
Attack: Flight 77 (a Boeing 757) and Flight 11 (a Boeing 767).

Although these flights were daily departures before and a month after September 11, 2001.
Neither flight 11 nor 77 were scheduled on September 11, 2001. The records kept by the Bureau
of Transportation Statistics (www.bts.gov/gis/) do not list either flight that day.

For a start, both flights DO appear on the BTS records:

But I don't possess teh skillz to work out what's going on at Wikipedia.

Did someone (I guess a no-planer twoofer) from American Airlines edit that entry?

Seems to me, that its a "public" computer on the net; that is used by a lot of people at AA; or a proxy IP that is used by AA, for all their computers to be piped through when using the net.

As an "open source" reference site, Wikipedia is open to being edited at will, 24/7, by (literally) any eleven-year-old with functioning internet access.

Moderately useful stop for info on how many episodes of Frankenstein Jr. and the Impossibles Hanna-Barbera produced in 1967, or similarly niggling topics... but: inherently unreliable on anything weightier, IMHO, for precisely that reason.:cool:

It's a common practice found in most religious and political cults.

What boggles me, is that they all seem to think that none of us are capable of seeing their lies, when most of the time, it couldn't be more obvious if they had a giant neon sign that says "LIE" every time they told one.

It's like dealing with a child that keeps insisting a purple dragon stole his homework...

This reminds me of the time a poster at Democratic Underground tried to prove that the actual airline pilots that were killed that day were not qualified to fly.....

Anyway, a few of the 8 airline pilots were not originally scheduled to fly that day, but for various reasons, changed their schedules so they ended up flying on 9/11.

I suspect that somewhere along the line in the world of troofers, a couple the pilots not being originally scheduled got twisted into the flights themselves not being scheduled that day.

Of course, maybe I'm reading into this too much. Maybe someone just inserted that lie into Wikipedia knowing that it was a lie.
 
IIRC this was pushed a few years back on the basis that AA did not include the flights in their "on-time/delayed" reports filed with the FAA.
 
The WHOIS report says the wikipedia editor posted from Dallas Airport. The person didn't even have to be an employee of American Airlines.

You'll get that a lot when people think they know what's truth and what's not, even if they can't provide a source. Then there are people that just like to vandalize things. I was reading through the Boston Tea Party article a couple years ago and came across a single instance of "Sons of Liberty" that was replaced with "Bitches of Liberty".
 
How the heck does a 9/11 CT-ist even get into the Admiral's Club lounge?

Unless of course, he's cleaning the toilets or handing out mints.
 
Just checked out several troofer forums. A lot of them seem to think that this is the "smoking gun."

The Troof movement grows even more pathetic.
