I haven't had a Mintie in six days.

(no applause, just scattered disbelief)

Right. When I was in Oz last year, I got addicted to Minties. I must have them! Alynda has sent some to me, and so has Richard Saunders, but alas, they go quickly. Even with the occasional resupply, I'm dangerously low.

Hence this thread.

I am making a call to any Aussies coming to TAMIV. I want Minties. If you bring me a bag (no need to go overboard, the 100 gram bags will be just fine) I will, in return, give you a NASA goodie. I have access to some fun toys, and I'll dig up something to bring to Vegas. No rocket parts or anything like that, but I can find something cool.

To produce 2,500 tonnes of MINTIES, you need 50 tonnes of sugar, plus 1,500 tonnes of glucose. Fold in 250 tonnes of gelatine, and you've got the basic mix.

Failing that, I could get them to a fellow skepchick with ease, as Zep may have luggage restrictions....
 
Yes, I've used them before and although they have Aussie stuff it's actually easier my way.

I'm sending out stuff US way anyhow - just guarantee to be nice to the skepchicks Mr Plait and it'll be worth your while. :)

I am unfailingly nice to skepchicks, especially ones who bring me Minties. :-)

Kiless, I'm disappointed, though: I was hoping you'd sign my calendar. Maybe next year...

I searched online months ago to get them shipped, but the costs are prohibitively high. It seems easier just to beg.

We've thought of that... you may want to keep an ear to the ground about calendars that are signed by all participants... ;)

Yes, it's not worth it. And it's no worries from my end. In fact, I better get moving on it today so it'll be in the US with plenty of time. :)
