7 year old uses the "G" word!

Heard about this on the radio today and found the following article on it: 7-Year-Old Under Attack for ‘Gay’ Word

“I was concerned when the assistant principal called and told me my son had said a word so bad that he didn’t want to repeat it over the phone,” said Sharon Huff, the second-grader’s mother.

She added, “But that was nothing compared to the shock I felt when my little boy came home and told me that his teacher had told him his family is a dirty word. No child should ever hear that, especially not from a teacher he trusted and respected.”

Yes, that was just sad on multiple levels. Louisiana....do school officials just go the extra distance to choose the action that will get them the most unfavorable publicity possible?

And then the strange correctional logic of being forced to write the naughty word repeatedly. Good thing he didn't say one of the big seven.

edit: They could have made him go sit in the closet, I guess. That might have been dumber.

Of interest (to me, anyway), I read the title of this thread, and thought your own 7 year old said, "God."

Now I'll go sit in the corner and chuckle.

edit: They could have made him go sit in the closet, I guess. That might have been dumber.

Of course, that would have been a life sentence as he would never be allowed to come out of the closet in that school.
