adds have been running non stop all night on a couple of channels I've been watching all night.


Basic gist of the add is
we're over 60 and since we did great things - like survived the depression and stormed Normandy we deserve our health care but you don't.

But aren't people who stormed Normandy receiving VA benies and have all their lives?

So social med is OK for them but not for the rest of us!

Then they finish off with a mild form of the death panels by saying VITAL MEDS WILL BE WITH HELD FROM US!!

Just more of the Repugnant same old I got mine screw the rest of you routine.

To explain, 60plus.org bills itself as a 'conservative alternative to AARP'. While it's led by a veteran, an ultra conservative one, it is back almost entirely by money from the drug industry.

They are one group behind some grossly incorrect (a.k.a. 'lying') ads about health care reform, and basically seem to be a spring up shill group. Hence the 'swiftboating' reverence.

I think.
 
I've never heard of AARP being described as liberal before. Why would AARP be liberal?

It's got nothing to do with liberal/conservative. AARP makes boatloads of money off health insurance. The present bill is a sop for insurance companies. Hence, AARP supports the current bill.
 
AARP is only liberal compared to the rightwing stink tank putting out the ads to scuttle health care.Kind of likeOlympia Snowe is "liberal" compared to Sarah Palin.
