The basic premise of the argument is that the pieces of the 2012 Olympic logo can be manipulated to spell the word "Zion".

I think anyone who thinks that is significant or deliberate is a mentally retarded creduloid.

There is nothing else to say about the zion letters. Those who like to fold dollar bills and claim to see the World Trade Centre burning are also mentally retarded creduloids. Same idea. See whatever you like in whatever you like and claim significance. In the floral pattern of my grandmother's sofa there is a creepy old man's face that used to scare me when I was a kid. Must be intentional, right?

Oh, for the record, the agency that designed the 2012 logo also designed the Athens 2004 Olympics logo, which was a laurel wreath. Perhaps someone would like to read something significant into that, too.

I agree with tkingdoll, and would also add that there is a previous thread about this from a couple of weeks ago.

It is utterly ludicrous to find it surprising, let alone shocking, unusual or conspiratorial about the fact that the numbers 0, 1, and 2 can resemble the letters O, I, N, and Z.

Let's see, the number 0 looks like the letter O? OMG!
The number 1 looks like the letter I? OMG!
The number 2 looks like the letter Z? OMG!
The number 2 looks like the letter N if you turn it 90 degrees? OMG!

No fella its based on the Tiswas logo.

Tiswas was a kids tv show which ran from the late 70's to early 1980s, it featured Chris Tarrant, Lenny Henry, Sally James, and the Phantom flan flinger, its logo was very similar to the olympic logo.

Agreed, it's crap, and I live in the UK, it's embarrassing.

Heaven help us if that logo is setting the theme for the whole of the London games.

Actually, having Zionist (as defined by CTers)-themed Olympics will probably be an improvement.

I hesitate to raise this.... but can't resist it... any ideas for '2012=Zion '-themed games?
