Looks like the Swiftboat Wingnuts for Bush have destroyed yet another potential political career - although not one they had intended. Herein lies the irony - obviously this statement was made without any thought. :)

These are, in my opinion, very similar lies. Yet the Swift Boat Vets allegations have lingered a lot longer, doing much more damage than did the forged memos on Bush's service in the National Guard. Any theories as to why?
