The Smithsonian is closing down the dinosaur hall for a five year, $48M renovation.

When offered the suit worn by O. J. Simpson when he was found not guilty of murdering his wife and an innocent bystander the Smithonian Institute refused it saying that it would be an improper display for an honorable institution such as themselves.
In a move that will most likely mightily annoy some people, the Smithsonian Institute is adding a hall on human evolution to its exhibits in 2010. Article here:
