I have been following the Gaza settlement story over the past few days and, frankly, I have no pity for the people that are being forced to move. It seems to me that they choose to settle (with or without the government's tacit or overt approval) in an area that clearly was not part of Isreal...

Whats up wit dat? Why not let the buildings remain for future use. It seems like such a waste to knock them down. Whats the reasoning?

Can there be any defense for the fact that new settlement is non-stop occurence, a constant thumb in the nose of US efforts to broker an agreement? Despite party in power, despite peace negotiations, despite interim agreements, settlements continue. Intractability on top of intractability.
