real id act

I was just wondering if anyone heard of the Real ID Act and if anyone knows anything about it? I first heard about it in the Zeitgeist Movie, but we all know how credible that "movie" is. Here is the Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_ID_Act
