The news is not good. My hero, Molly Ivins, the fearless, hilarious, barb-wire liberal is back in the hospital with a recurrance of cancer, and her brother says it is back with a vengeance.
I've been reading her columns for at least thirty years now and she has molded my opinion like no other...
....I mean, if we can have a Conservative female columnist, why not an unabashed Populist? (After all, she's the lady who hung the nickname 'Shrub' on GW).
And the subject (Social Security) is one that has been argued here before and will be again as Bush gears up for Social Security Reform...
I'm about half way through Al Franken's "Lies and the Lying Liers Who Tell Them".
It cracks me up when B'ORe claims that it isn't satire. Take for example this bit from the introduction where Al recounts his conversation with God where God was telling him to write the book.
