Quick note - the problem with Youtube videos not embedding on the forum appears to have been fixed, thanks to ZiprHead. If you do still see problems let me know.
This thread is about Shameless Joe Nickel, one of the more prominent public faces of the skeptics’ movement. Shameless Joe also holds the dubious honor of being the first ever inductee into the Skeptibunkers Hall of Shame. He earned his spot with this ludicrous explanation for the following...
For years and years the spiritualists have claimed that the Brazilian medium Carmine Mirabelli had the ability of levitation and other supernatural feats.
There are hundreds of spiritualist books which have been written claiming that Mirabelli could levitate, and even some modern paranormal...
Have you seen this nonsense? More like yogic hopping to be more accurate. And they use bouncy mattresses too. There are claims of religious people who used to be able to fly but no-one can reproduce that today.

I've witnessed it, multiple times (and no, I wasn't on acid).
And I'm not talking about any magician's trick here....
It wasn't like floating 6 inches off the ground.
Me, and and others were ALL levitated, by a girl,
-multiple times- on separate occasions,
at least 4 feet off the ground...

I just want to know your thoughts on this video and its related subject. I'm not too sure if this is an example of a perpetual motion machine though.

Okay. That...
All my life, I have searched for the truth, for a sign from the real One and Only Christian GodTM to show that he is really real. I searched the forum, but this doesn't appear to have been discussed here previously - the Eucharist Miracle, presently doing the rounds among the faithful. I have...
I know the secrets of a few levitation illusions, but just had a little brain wave for another one. That is to create a false shadow which could be sprayed or even just a dark wet patch beneath the object at the object is dragged away it reveals a wet patch that is beneath it the same shape...
I'm sure everyone remembers that game where someone sits in a chair and after 'laying on of hands" are lifted up merely by a couple of people's fingertips. Now I know its nothing supernatural or anything, but I don't understand the physics behind it. All I could find about the explanation of...
In the last couple of days I have been writing with a guy who insists that he can levitate. Which I have naturally told him is quite impossible. He still insist - so now I have insisted that he do it again while recording it on camera. The recording will then be sent to me for scrutiny - and...
Saw him do that again the other night. We went over this ad nauseum some time ago but refresh my memory. The is some technique (I forget the name) where you position yourself just right and sorta go up on the toe of the foot that is hidden.
We sorta agreed that the video of him really going...
