Use an LCD TV as a Monitor?

Does anyone have any experience of using an LCD TV as a monitor? I'm thinking of buying a 32" with a resolution of 1366 x 768. If i set my computer screen resolution to 1280 x 768, will it look as good as on my CRT 17"? My day to day PC usage is office and Cubase. Cheers

If I turn the power off then on then I do get an image - for half a second - then the screen turns black again. I hooked up my old monitor to prove I...
