"Canada, the country furthest from meeting its commitment to cut carbon emissions under the Kyoto Protocol, may save as much as $6.7 billion by exiting the global climate change agreement...
I have, again, noticed some hypocrisy within the Conspiracy Nutter group. They are all crying foul about two UN Conventions:
Law of the Sea Treaty -and-
UN Convention on the Rights of the Child
Which I just think is hilariously ironic considering our government is opposed to both.
Also, Alex...
It makes no sense to me.
It is not in their best interest.
Never mind that it is dumb for anyone getting the short end of the redistribution stick, for them it is particularly dumb because there is 1 chance in a 100,000,000,000 that it will have an actual impact.
Canada should be spewing as...

I find it disappointing that the US is not joining the Kyoto treaty; except for the issue of allowing the two largest and in many regards fastest growing economies on the planet to be excluded.
I believe the US has objected to China and India being excluded, but I don't understand the rational...
US isolated as Kremlin endorses Kyoto
By Jim Lobe
WASHINGTON - Thursday's decision by the Russian government to endorse ratification of the Kyoto Protocol to curb greenhouse gas emissions has thrown a particularly stark spotlight on the degree to which President George W Bush has isolated the...

Something appears to be not kosher with the Mann study used by IPCC to justify expensive international controls on emissions.
Estimated cost by IPCC could be as high as $18,000,000,000,000,000...
Did the Russian response to ratification of the Kyoto treaty receive much debate here?
It is pretty significant and gives a decent knock on the head to all those who claim that the science of global warming is settled and agreed.
This quote struck me:
CNN - The Russians Didn't Bark...
