Recently I've been visiting a number of Christian sites to try to understand the inconsistencies in the Bible. One common refrain is that many of the are obviosly not inconsistent, but they are "literary devices" used at the time. My question is this - is this a theory that has been developed...

Strange, since they ignore "inconsistencies", obfuscation, and even outright lies by Bush.
