Quick note - the problem with Youtube videos not embedding on the forum appears to have been fixed, thanks to ZiprHead. If you do still see problems let me know.
I see that there isn't a thread on this, so I thought I would start out by stating my firm belief that the so-called Killian memos aired by Dan Rather during a 60 Minutes II episode on Wednesday, September 8, 2004 were crude (and "rather" obvious) forgeries.
A definitive analysis is provided...
Just got sent this video from (what else?) a Ron Paul supporter:

Details the REAL point of the CFR - to control THE WORLD!!!1!!!! (insert Dr. Evil laugh here).
Christ on a stick, the paranoia runs deep in some.
Just saw a trailer for the PBS show "Oswald's Ghost" which is being aired in a few minutes.
It was Dan Rather saying "Sometimes conspiracy theories turn out to be true."
Not sure of the context and I hope this is a fair presentation not some CT BS.
Dan Rather has filed a $70 million lawsuit against CBS claiming that the Bush administration forced the network censor and cover up the Bush military record story that ended up causing Rather's resignation from the network.
The suit claims that his public apology was forced by CBS and led to...
I think not but...
...the hounds have picked up the fox scent.
Link Dan Rather will certainly read. Not because it concerns him, but just so he knows he's not long alone in his new, but soon closing, 60minII office.
Despite Dan Rather admitting that the memos "can't be authenticated", I still hold on to the possibility of them being genuine because I heard there were typewriters back then that could do it. I also still refuse to examine any overlays done with IBM selectrics versus those done with word...
MRC (warning, biased source) summarizes Rather's comments to the Post
Its a biased account, but Rather's own remarks are so out of touch and arrogant that its almost surreal or like hes living a parody of himself.
Is this Elvis syndrome? Is he surrounded by asskissers who won't level with...
I'm creating this thread for all of the supposition, guesstimating, and theorizing we want to do for the memo. I think we should indulge ourselves and go into the realm of the unprovable if only for fun and to see if someone is actually proved right later on.
So far the thoeries already put...
The Bush memos are a thread elsewhere so I thought I would post this connected story I ran across.
The First Rathergate - September 15, 2004
Personally I dislike Dan Rather, I find him a self-important talking head with delusions of grandeur. But I never heard about "Rathergate" ;) until today.
I thought we should start a new thread on skepticism and the memo. By now, we are no longer arguing the authenticity of the memos. Right now memo apologists have as much street cred as flat earthers or 7 day creationists to me.
I see the following trends in thought though:
1. memos are fakes...
On the NBC Sunday evening news, they did their best to gloss over the CBS memo scandal and ignore the smoking gun evidence.
Now, I don't normally watch establishment media news shows, but this was really pathetic. I could learn more from reading the slashdot comments then I could from their...
