    Sistine Chapel Restoration

    I'd love to hear your opinions on whether or not they ruined or seriously damaged Michelangelo's ceiling paintings when they restored the ceiling. Did they remove too much of the patina? (sp?) Personally I think it looks a little too technicolor, as well as less overall character and subtlety.

    http://indyweek.com/durham/2003-07-02/cover.html That's not what the whole of the article is about, and it covers many other instances of civil disobedience of the Patroit Act by citizens, but I thought that an entire police department refusing to play along demanded attention. Good for them.
