I'm wondering how many nonbelievers attend religious wedding ceremonies, or other religious ceremonies to please a believing family member, a relative, or even a believing friend. The question arose recently in my own family and my thinking is that one might avoid such occasions lest it...

...so we are invited to the "religious ceremony" of a daughter of some friends we know through our kids --if it is relevant the celebrating child is NOT in the age group of our children. I don't want to go. I don't want to waste a single moment more of my life sitting in a church or temple...
