Does this make sense?
The asset bubble in the US was caused by Asian (mostly Chinese) currency manipulation.
Why? Because if the Chinese (and other Asian export-oriented economies) were buying US assets not because they thought those assets were a good value, but simply as a way to manipulate...
Sometimes I wonder why students can claim science isn't fun....

I happened to think about this after reading the new thread about Big Bang or Big Splash.
A neighbor kid got a toy lawnmower that has dual 'exhaust' that blows out bubbles. Inside the house, the bubbles popped, in short order, on the carpet. But...outside in the grass they stayed, and did not...
Help me out here. If a bubble of gas in a fish tank is cut in half to produce two bubbles, what is the surface area of the two bubbles compared with the original single bubble?
If anybody wants to explain this to me I'd be greatful. Please be aware I am numerically challenged though.
