Ok, it isn't a zing moment a'la Barney Frank...but this is a clip of Franken being questioned by a TeaBagger at the Minn. state fair. I am posting it because -- whether you agree with Franken or not -- it was a civil exchange where questions are asked, answers given and calm and rationality...
Coleman's appeal went for oral arguments before the state Supreme Court today. The prevailing analysis is that Coleman had the weaker argument and received the harsher questioning from the judges. If he loses, will Coleman concede?

The newest Democrat steps into a minefield:
To call that a political tin ear would be insulting to tin ears. The mind boggles, especially since Franken looks the most likely winner.
I thought when Specter announced his party switch that now he could annoy the crap out of Democrats; my guess...

This isn't a recount yet, just counting of the provisional, absentee and undervotes, but the race has narrowed to 209 votes.

I'm in Portland this week and used my free in-room HBO to watch the crapulence that is Real Time with Bill Mayer. Last night he had Al Franken, Gore Vidal, and some other commie on having a big Bush bash-fest.
I do not live in an area where Air America plays, the one time I caught Franken's...
AL FRANKEN KNOCKS DOWN DEAN HECKLER
January 27, 2004 -- EXETER, N.H. - Wise-cracking funnyman Al Franken yesterday body-slammed a demonstrator to the ground after the man tried to shout down Gov. Howard Dean.
The tussle left Franken's trademark thick-rim glasses broken, but he said he was...
I was amused tonight to find a website about lies by Al Franken
So now I guess we can expect yet another Coulter or O'Reilly book talking about what Franken got wrong (and citing the website like Franken cited Salon/Spinsanity). Then Franken can write another book about what they got wrong...
According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Al Franken is "exploring the idea of moving back to the state [of Minnesota] to run against Republican Sen. Norm Coleman in 2008."
Far-fetched? Have you forgotten who Minnesotans elected as governor a few years ago?
I'm about half way through Al Franken's "Lies and the Lying Liers Who Tell Them".
It cracks me up when B'ORe claims that it isn't satire. Take for example this bit from the introduction where Al recounts his conversation with God where God was telling him to write the book.

How could...
Yesterday (9/17/03), Saint Louis's NPR station had an interview with Al Franken. One of the callers asked what Franken thought about a certain book that had a bunch of what the caller thought were wild claims. Franken said he had heard good things about the book but hadn't read it himself...
what IS it with loud-mouthed, jacka_s liberals ?
they can't seem to write their own books AND they can't seem to actually READ the books they critique......strange lot of fools they are.
