Why is it that people can claim simultaneously that there should be strict rules for who is allowed to become an adoptive parent (even of a baby) - showing competence, financial and psychological stability, etc - but that there should be no rules for who is allowed to have a baby the usual way...

Would you think less of a person who gave up their child, than if they had aborted it in the first place?? I'm thinking society sees giving up a child for adoption as a bigger failure. Which is kinda sad. Im all for abortion rights, but I see nothing wrong with preaching the alternatives.
