What about Iran (now that the USA is with Russia)?

Since Trump officially went to the dark side, how is that going to go with Iran?
Iran is a close ally to Putin. Is Iran now one of the cool guys?

Hey, let's take one foreign catastrophe at a time.

Iran's on the backburner for awhile.

When Trump gets to it, it'll depend on if he likes the Supreme Leader's style and a promise not to make nukes (or if you do, don't point them at us).

Netanyahu will do everything he can to push Trump into attacking Iran.
Which might be what breaks the hold Miriam Adelson has over Trump.

It is very weird connection...
Trump likes/bows to Putin.
Putin likes Iran
Iran hates Israel
USA protects Israel
Israel doesn't like Putin

Can anyone imagine Bibi shaking hands with the likes of FElon or Bannon, who are mocking the world with their Nazi salutes?
Is Israel going to be fine with Nazis, as long as they hate everyone else but the Jews?

Netanyahu LOVES Putin.

Really? Can't find anything to substantiate that. On what are you basing this?
Israel LOVES Russian Oligarchs and their money.

An assertion which, of course, you are just about to support. Right?

selling Israeli passports to Russians is big business.

And Netanyahu has a looooong history of praising Putin.

I can give you dozens more.

Iran is the only point of contention.

but I am sure you will convince yourself that that can't be true because it comes from me.

Paywalled.

Not actually supporting your claim. Did you read it?
Paywalled.

A couple of non-paywalled ones would suffice. Along with your reasons for rejecting the articles I posted myself.
Iran is the only point of contention.

And Putin's support of Hamas. And Netanyahu's support of Ukraine. But don't let the facts put you off your stride.

Nope, and don't keep making this personal. It is only reasonable to ask for evidence on this forum.

Plenty of evidence.
But as I predicted, it's not what you want, so you make excuses.

More importantly, if you know anything about Bibi, you know how often he has praised Putin, to the annoyance of Washington.

But I guess you can't help yourself taking his side against me no matter what.
Somehow I must be the bigger threat.

Tribalists and nationalists are great pals when engaged in mutually reinforcing their legitimacy in order to each open a path to power. As that dynamic now ends, shifting alliances of interest are the norm; no superpowers will be able to muster loyal allies as before. American soft power is all but dead, its former leadership role now fully subjugated to Russian interest.

Nurturing Nazis is Israel's tragic mistake. (Note that it does parallel the Nazi-Zionist likemindness of the 1930s and 40s, however.) If the GOP were to ever turn on AIPAC and denounce it using incandescent rhetoric, all bets are off as to gravity of consequence.

The vital importance of shared values is suddenly palpable now that they've gone missing.

I have already posted links about this. You are still pretending I haven't.

Stop being an ass.

Thanks to Abooga, I can now access your links through the paywall.
This article does not support your claim that Israel is "selling passports to Russians". In fact, what it says is that a number of very rich Russians who are Jewish have applied for, and received, Israeli citizenship. This is because Israeli law gives what they call 'the right of return' to anyone who is Jewish. This is entirely different from "selling" citizenship. As this article points out, there is no legal way to refuse this to these Russians: it applies to anyone who is Jewish.
The article also makes no mention of this alleged selling, nor that it is "big business".
If you have anything that actually does support your claim, I will of course read it. I judge claims on the strength or otherwise of the evidence, not on any opinion I may have of the person posting those claims.

from the article:
Aside from the passport, Israeli citizenship comes with other benefits for billionaires. New immigrants to Israel receive a 10-year exemption from reporting and paying taxes on income made abroad. Furthermore, the country doesn’t have its own sanctions law, meaning there are no specific legal procedures in place to enact the sanctions implemented by other countries.

Israel has refused to sanction Russia for Ukraine, or enforce US/European sanctions targeted at their Russia billionaires with Israeli passports.

Israel is definitely more on the side of Russia than Ukraine.

Being allied with Israel is a one-way street.
The US and EU don't want to bomb Iran, Netanyahu is desperate for it.

Blah, blah, blah.
I'm guessing you posted this because you couldn't find anything in that article to support your claim that Israel was selling passports to Russians, and that this practice was big business.
A little tip for you: Before you post something, check to see if it's true or not. Then, read the sources you link to, before you post them. Just try it, see what happens.

Well Iran is against Israel, so it's a fairly spicy conundrum all around.
Iran is against a settler colonial enterprise sanctioned by two successive empires external to the entire region. Iran is also a hellhole, similarly sharing the bad habit of worshiping myth and paying it mind in policy. But even bad guys can be right about some things, such as massive civilian casualties, politicized detention without merit, and forcible occupation of foreign lands being a bad thing.

Palestine was not Jewish in 1900. It is now. How? The answer is a litany of crimes and misdemeanors, zero to do with law, good faith in its execution, or any recognizable moral principle.

It's big enough for Israel to shield Russian billionaires from international sanctions and consequences for war crimes and profiteering.
I don't know if Israel is getting as much out of selling out to Russia against Ukraine as it should, but it's clearly enough to accept anger from the US, Ukraine and Europe.

Remember how at the start of the latest invasion, Israel refused to accept Ukrainian refugees, finally accepting small numbers only.
But Russian billionaires get the Red Carpet.

Are you happy with Israel supporting Russians over Ukrainians?
