Wasn't sure where to put this, so I figured maybe it could use its own thread.

Newsweek said:
The lawsuit could renew debate about the 2024 election, though it won't change the outcome since Congress has certified the results declaring President Donald Trump the winner.

It comes amid unconfirmed reports that voting machines were secretly altered before ballots were cast in November's election. The federally accredited testing lab, Pro V&V, that signed off on "significant" changes to ES&S voting machines—which are used in over 40 percent of U.S. counties—"vanished from public view" after the election, according to the Dissent in Bloom Substack.

i think that’s what they’re getting at by pointing out the same stuff is used in 40% of counties in the us

You know our time-proven adage about the Republicans: Every accusation is a confession? The GOP and Trump machine have been banging on for ages about rigged voting machines favouring the Democrats. That's the accusation... Is this situation now some sort of revelation that the GOP may have been involved in their own rigging efforts? The confession?

Also, it may not necessarily need mass rigging to swing an election. It needs just enough select counties in a swing state to take that state, which could tip the national result. Say only tens of thousands votes out of a hundred million. This is well-known in many democratic countries.

Hard to imagine the voting behavior. But it is some 600 voters or less. You need bigger numbers.
And it's New York, which Trump didn't win, didn't even come close to winning. The suspicious voting behavior is apparently centered around several ultra-orthodox Jewish communities in Rockland County. If the rabbi in the community says to vote for the Republican for president but Democrats for Congress (as happened in 2024) then that is what happens.

In this village primarily inhabited by members of the Aaronite Satmar Hasidic community, there was a startling unanimity in the voting. In the Palm Tree electoral districts in Orange County that are roughly coterminous with Kiryas Joel there are 10,000 registered voters, 8,187 of them voted for Trump and only 128 voted for Harris. However, of the same voters on the same ballot, 7,313 chose Democrat James Skoufis for State Senator. Both of these tendencies mirror, in extreme ways, the voting of the surrounding areas but in the race between Kirsten Gillibrand and Michael Sapraicone the surrounding areas plumped for Sapraicone whereas Palm Tree cast 6,478 votes — over 75% of those cast — for Gillibrand.
