Trump hush money trial set for April 15 as N.Y. court reduces fraud bond
https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/t...-for-april-15-as-n-y-court-reduces-fraud-bond
The first criminal trial of former President Donald Trump is set to begin in April after a judge rejected Trump’s claims of prosecutorial misconduct.

NY judge issues gag order on Trump in hush money trial, blasting his ‘threatening, inflammatory, denigrating’ statements

https://www.cnn.com/2024/03/26/politics/trump-hush-money-trial-gag-order/index.html
A New York judge has imposed a gag order on Donald Trump, limiting the former president from making statements about potential witnesses in the criminal trial relating to hush money payments scheduled to begin next month.

Judge Juan Merchan also said that Trump can’t make statements about attorneys, court staff or the family members of prosecutors or lawyers intended to interfere with the case. Trump is also barred from making statements about any potential or actual juror.

In my opinion this is more of a test of the court, then a question if Trump will, or will not violate the order. When Trump does violate the order, will the court take any significant action?

Like Trump will ever find out about violating a gag order even if he does violate it?

How often does a person get more time to post an appeal bond and also have it reduced? Should other perps expect the kid glove treatment that Trump is getting? Is that a normal thing? I don't really know much about appeal bonds and how they work these days.

And what's with the "bloodbath" he promised? Whose blood exactly!!!?

Trump is demanding a new judge just days before his hush-money criminal trial begins
https://www.latimes.com/world-natio...s-before-his-hush-money-criminal-trial-begins
Former President Trump is demanding a new judge just days before his hush-money criminal trial is set to begin, rehashing longstanding grievances with the current judge in a long-shot, eleventh-hour bid to disrupt and delay the case.

Trump’s lawyers — echoing his recent social media complaints — urged Manhattan Judge Juan M. Merchan to step aside from the case, alleging bias and a conflict of interest because his daughter is a Democratic political consultant. The judge rejected a similar request last August.

The trial is scheduled to begin April 15. It is the first of Trump’s four criminal cases scheduled to go to trial and would be the first-ever criminal trial of a former president.

I keep having flashbacks to Monty Python's "Get on with it" line.
