oh for ***** sake

This shooting is a corollary to the cult of trans introduced into schools.
I hope I am wrong as it portends a far wider problem.

And that alleged "frustration" justifies shooting up a school with an AR-15...Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

Or this kid is just a plain gun nut and you are looking for an excuse to hang your usual schtick on.

Too awful to imagine is it not?
The trans cult driven into the education system results in this shooting.
The burden will be on Obama/Biden/Harris/Walz to demonstrate their title IX agenda is not responsible for this tragedy.

And you, too. Enough already. This was a sick kid. Obama, Biden, and Title IX had nothing to do with it.

They sure do have everything to do with this tragedy.
Obama was a fast instigator of protections for transgender variance .
So we went from 1 kid in 10,000 to a 5000% increase in incidence. This is not controversial, it is described.

That is an idiotic statement. I, and hopefully you, would not have committed murder whether we had access to a gun or not. The shooter was a sick kid.

Who could not have done what he did without easy access to guns.

Currently it seems probable
1. A mentally sick kid is encouraged by his school to be "himself"
He encounters pushback by his social group.
He kills some of them.

He is mentally unwell because gender nonsense has been driven into his school.

All of above or none of above may be true.

Look at the idiocy I was replying to. I was being facetious, as I often am.

And I would argue about "sick": I worked in child and adolescent mental health for 30 years and, oddly, very few, if any, of those bairns were violent, let alone murderous. But I don't live in a culture where guns are prevalent to the point of worship and shooting folk is a common place thing. There is something in favour of us Brits being "Nogunz".

Utter fantasy to support your transphobic views....

Wait - was he frustrated that they are being accepted or that they aren't?

From the quote provided it could be either.

From this side of the Atlantic, I'd guess that a gun/hunting household would be somewhat more likely to come down on the side that was frustrated that trans people are being accepted, which would mean the shooter is closer to your views than those of a trans rights activist.

I suppose we'll find out eventually, but it might be a good idea to wait until we do before coming to a conclusion.

Well, if nothing else, this is a strike against those trying to keep the LGBT out of the military. Turns out they can shoot to kill just as well as anyone else ;)

Pretty sure one lone and ambiguous post from the past is not his life altering manifesto.

What if they find a post of his saying "lol"? Would that mean he must have shot up the school in a sad clown rage?

Seems your entire schtick here isn't based on facts (I'm shocked):
The account referenced Adam Lanza, the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooter, and in separate posts shared a desire to target an elementary school and expressed frustration that transgender people were being accepted in society.
Above a photograph of two firearms, the account posted, “I’m ready.”

Looks like Gray was influenced by the culture of hate against transgender people we see coming from the right-wing.

I cannot express just how disgusted I am by the anti-transgender nonsense I've read here. Like I've often said, the right-wing is driven by fear, especially of anyone different to themselves, which promotes hate. God Almighty, it disgusts me.

As I'm reading that article, the "culture of hate against trans people" is at best a brief passing post on one account, but there's a metric **** ton about him.getting picked on at school, an abusive father, a drug abusing mother that lost custody of her children due to failing drug tests.

Ya I think all that might have maybe been a factor?

No, it was video games.

Seriously, this kids CV reads like a serial killer's stereotypical background bio. Multiple evictions, unstable and abusive home and school life.. but no, it was reeeeeaaallly about the trendy issue of the week. I'd bet at 12 or 13 years old when he wrote that, that he didn't even know what a trans person was.

If only they still had prayer in public schools this wouldn't have happened!

But none of those push an anti-transgender agenda so why mention them?

And neatly trimmed haircuts, as God intended.
Apart from his Chosen People, the Jews, with their long forelocks. They get a pass on the buzzcut requirement.

Meanwhile...

Rather than bicker about what type of weapon an Ar-15 or derivative actually is and how the law can be applied to them, perhaps the laws should be more general. For example, that weapons that shoot projectiles need to be properly regulated. More strictly in the case of semi-auto anything, and absolutely stopped in the case of fully auto anything, grenades and tactical nukes, etc.

A-friggin-men. Guns for sport shooting and hunting? Fine. Use them in a pinch for self defense? Absolutely. But a private armory of people killing military weapons? No freaking way. If you need a thirty round semi auto to hunt small game, you seriously need to pick up a hobby you are more skilled at.

Given your history I'll assume you're actually being serious so we can all point and laugh.

Prove me wrong. Rampage school shootings were really not a thing before 1999. But we had guns. Lots of gun.

... and you get to say this with and literally any response I could make to it would be uncivil.

We have goddamn spree killings IN churches.

This is the kind of dumb that should be considered uncivil.

Good grief. We're a vast country of 330M people. These events are rare. Before 1999 they weren't a thing (unless you don't like Mondays). It's so irrational not to view things proportionally.

Yep, that's how we do it here. We have plenty of sports shooters, and hunters both amateur and professional. Also farm varmint guns, etc. All perfectly valid if they are registered. Only difference: handguns are treated like semi-autos: you better have a damn good official reason to have one, or the answer is No.

Recommending that if you seriously want to play with military grade bang-bangs...go join the military, get trained properly, and you get to play with the very latest tech. When your sergeant lets you.

If you need a thirty round semi auto to hunt small game, you seriously need to pick up a hobby you are more skilled at.
I would ask what the hell you were doing getting so close to anger that sleeping bear. Pissing on it??

because he agrees with your bigotry against trans people, trans people are guilty? that makes no sense. do you ever stop and think for a moment about...well, anything?

One interesting twist is that once you have demonstrated that valid reason to have one, Australia has, in American terms, shall issue laws.

In other words, if you can demonstrate a reason to have a gun license, it cannot be withheld for arbitrary reasons.

There is no right wing.
There is a vast group of American women and citizens who are fighting tooth and nail to eliminate misinformation about sex options in American schools.
This offender posted that he was frustrated by the non acceptance of trans youth.
At the same time on the same forum he said he would kill people in a school. It was 12 months back.

Yes I do.
I am satisfied that gender should never be a subject in schools.
